KATHMANDU: Shree Airlines has announced the addition of two Dash 8 Q400 aircraft to its fleet.

Writing a post on its social media page, the domestic carrier stated that the two Dash Q-400 aircraft landed in Kathmandu early Tuesday.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has assigned the call signs 9N-AOL and 9N-AOK to the new aircraft.

The Dash 8 is a turbo-prop aircraft first built in 1984 by De Havilland Canada. A total of 1,258 Dash 8s have been built so far. The aircraft features 76 seats.

Both aircraft were manufactured in 2011 and were previously owned by Horizon Air of the US.

With this addition, the number of aircraft in the fleet of Shree Airlines has reached 10, comprising two CRJ 100s, two CRJ 700s, and six Dash 8s.
