KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Santosh Pariyar has left the party.

Pariyar, who served as the party’s whip in the House of Representatives, submitted his resignation to General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti.

RSP Spokesperson Manish Jha said Pariyar has informed the party that he intends to join a new political campaign. “We wish him all the best for his future,” Jha said.

Pariyar is reportedly in contact with Janardan Sharma, former deputy general secretary of the CPN (Maoist Center), who is preparing to launch a new political party.
