KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has nominated three experts in the energy and water resources sector as advisory members to the party’s Central Department of Energy and Water Resources.
RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti on Sunday nominated former government secretaries Devendra Karki, Sushil Chandra Tiwari and Madhu Bhetuwal as expert advisors.
According to Shreeram Neupane, chief of the department, there is a need for strong policy structures to lay the foundation for long-term prosperity in Nepal’s energy and water sectors. “As these sectors are vital to the country’s development, it is essential to fully utilize the experience and expertise of qualified professionals,” he added.
All three advisors have held leadership roles in various government agencies, including the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, and the Water and Energy Commission.
RSP has the tradition of nominating experts, former secretaries, administrators, security officials and other eminent personalities from national and social spheres as advisors to its policy departments.
