RSP leaders, cadres arrested in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU:  Several Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leaders and cadres were arrested today during a demonstration in support of party President Rabi Lamichhane near the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Monday.

According to police, the arrested include RSP Kathmandu District President Pradeep Bista, Lalitpur District President Buddhratna Maharjan, and party members and supporters Khushiram Kaini, Jayaram Nepal, Surendra Awale, Navraj Bhandari, Sahil Prayas, Umesh Lama, Navraj Mudbhari, Dhruva Dhakal and Sabi Khadka.

Pukar Bam (Kathmandu, Amar Dangal (Makwanpur), Dhruba Bahadur Bista (Makwanpur), Harish Chandra Lamichhane (Kathmandu) and Suresh Thapa (Makwanpaur) have also been arrested, according to RSP Party Office.
