RSP general convention: Closed-door session underway

KATHMANDU: The closed-door session of the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is underway in Bharatpur of Chitwan.

The second day’s program of the convention, which was inaugurated on Sunday, kicked off at 8:30 am at the Chitwan Exhibition Centre.

Party president Rabi Lamichhane is conducting the session where four reports are scheduled to be presented.

Ramakanta Rimal from the Central Disciplinary Department, Central Treasurer Lima Adhikari and General Secretary Burlakoti are presenting their reports. Burlakoti is preparing the party’s organizational report. After discussions on this report come to an end, a proposal to amend the party statute will be discussed and passed.

President Lamichhane is scheduled to present his political report by noon.

After the discussion on the president’s report, the party’s interim management committee will be announced, and the organizing committee will hand over all responsibilities to the party’s Central Election Commission.
