Road accident claims two sisters in Udayapur

KATHMANDU: Two sisters lost their lives in a road accident in Gaighat of Udayapur on Thursday evening.

According to the District Police Office, Udayapur, a jeep coming towards Triyuga Buse Park from Gaighat hit the two sisters while they were standing by the roadside. The deceased have been identified as Anu Kumari Das (14) and Devi Kumari Das (12). Originally from Rajbiraj of Saptari, they had been living in Gaighat, according to police.

While Anu Kumari died on the spot, Devi Kumari passed away during treatment at Udayapur District Hospital.

Police have taken Nirjal Katuwal (19), the jeep driver from Gaigaun in Triyuga Municipality-9, under control for investigation.
