KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Administration (DDA) has scrapped registration of more than 5,000 pharmacies.
Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the DDA said registration of 5,302 pharmacies that have not been renewed within the specified time, or whose renewal deadlines have expired, has been automatically revoked, as per Section 11 (5) of the Drugs Act, 1978.
The DDA has also urged all pharmacy operators to verify the current status of their certificates immediately and complete any pending legal and administrative procedures.
