KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3 per liter, and diesel and kerosene by Re 1 per liter.
With the fresh revision in prices, petrol will be available for Rs 168 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will retail at Rs 153 per liter. The new prices will come into effect from Friday midnight.
According to the NOC, the new prices also include the ‘green tax’ announced by the government through the budget for the fiscal year 2024/25.
NOC, however, has kept the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and aviation turbine fuel unchanged.
Issuing a statement on Friday, NOC said fuel prices have been adjusted as per the new price rates forwarded by its sole supplier – the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
