KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter each, and petrol by Rs 4 per liter.
With the fresh reduction, diesel and kerosene will be available for Rs 149 per liter each in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dipayal, and other cities. Similarly, petrol will retail at Rs 159 per liter.
A meeting of the board of directors of the state-owned petroleum monopoly reduced the prices after the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) lowered the prices of fuel supplied to Nepal. IOC is the sole supplier of petroleum products to Nepal.
NOC, however, has kept the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and aviation turbine fuel unchanged.
The new prices will come into effect from Sunday midnight, according to NOC.
