KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has summoned the budget session of the federal parliament for April 25.
According to a press statement issued by the Office of the President, President Ram Chandra Paudel has called the budget session of both houses of parliament for 1 pm on April 25 on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, as per Article 93 of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015.
A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday evening decided to recommend to the President to summon the budget session for April 25.
Traditionally, the budget session used to be called in the second week of May. The session was called about a fortnight earlier this time to facilitate the passage of the School Education Bill, 2015.
School teachers across the country have been demonstrating in Kathmandu since April 2, demanding the immediate enactment of the School Education Bill.
