KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed Man Bahadur Karki as the Chief Election Officer and Guru Prasad Wagle and Dr Rajeev Subba as Election Commissioners.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Office of the President said President Paudel made the appointments as per Article 245 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015, on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.
A meeting of the Constitutional Council held on July 3 had picked Karki for Chief Election Commissioner and Wagle and Dr Subba for Election Commissioners.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had endorsed the Constitutional Council’s decision on Wednesday.
