KATHMANDU: Ram Chandra Paudel has appointed three justices to the Supreme Court.
President Poudel appointed Senior Advocate Meghraj Pokharel, Chief Judge of the Janakpur High Court Shreekant Paudel and Chief Judge of the Dipayal High Court Shanti Singh Thapa as Supreme Court Justices as per Article 129(2) of the Constitution of Nepal, a statement issued by the Office of the President stated on Monday.
A meeting of the Judicial Council held on June 10 had recommended the three for appointment as Supreme Court Justices. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee endorsed the recommendations earlier on Monday.
