Police arrest eight in Rinku Kumari murder case

SIRAHA: Police have made public suspects of the gang rape and murder of teenager Rinku Kumari Sada (17) of Nawarajpur of Siraha district.

According to District Police Office, Siraha, eight accused have been arrested so far while four are on the run.

Among the arrested are main accused Rupesh Mandal and ward member Nathuni Sah, who was involved in the Panchayati or community mediation. Other arrested individuals include Ram Kripal Mandal, Bindeshwar Sah, Rajendra Mandal, Chandeshwar Mandal, Ramvinod Mandal and Kamlesh Das.

Rupesh, Nathuni, Ramkripal and Bindeshwar were named in the first information report filed with the police, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan.

Police have secured a five-day remand for the suspects for investigation.
