KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli returned home on Thursday after concluding a four-day official visit to China.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh, Minister for Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and senior government officials welcomed Prime Minister Oli at the Tribhuvan International Airport. On the occasion, a contingent of the Nepal Army presented a guard of honor to the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Oli left for China on December 2, leading a 78-member delegation, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
During his stay in Beijing, he held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He also met Premier Li, where discussions focused on various bilateral interests. Several agreements, notably the Belt and Road Initiatives ( BRI) Cooperation Framework, between Nepal and China were signed during the visit.
The delegation included Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, PM’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal and Economic and Development Advisor Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, members of parliament, senior government officials, private sector representatives and journalists.
