KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Spokesperson Manish Jha has said that the party was ashamed of the management shortcomings witnessed during the party’s 1st General Convention in Bharatpur of Chitwan.
Speaking to journalists at the convention venue on Thursday after the first phase of voting concluded, Jha acknowledged organizational lapses in the convention.
“We are embarrassed by the managerial weaknesses seen during the convention,” Jha said. “Despite those shortcomings, the delegates stayed throughout the process and participated in the voting. We are grateful to them.”
Jha insisted participation in the first phase of voting was satisfactory. “We had feared that many delegates might leave after the convention got extended by two days. But that did not happen. The participation of delegates was satisfactory,” he said.
Jha said voting for the second phase of voting is scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
