KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Syed Haider Shah, paid a farewell call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s office in Shitwal Niwas on Thursday.
“Recalling historical linkages and warm relations between both countries, Ambassador Shah thanked President Bhandari and the Government of Nepal for supporting his endeavors during his ambassadorial stint in Nepal,” a statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu said.
According to the statement, President Bhandari congratulated Ambassador Shah for the successful completion of his tenure and his efforts to further strengthen relations between both countries during his stay in Nepal.
“She also wished for Ambassador Shah’s future endeavors,” the statement added.
Shah, who came to Nepal a year ago, is returning to the foreign affairs ministry following his promotion.
