NTB promoting Nepal aggressively in different tourism fairs

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has participated in five international travel fairs so far in January to promote Nepal as a premier global tourism destination. It is also scheduled to participate in OTM 2025 in India scheduled for January 30 and 31.

According to the NTB, it showcased Nepal’s tourism attractions in Adventure Travel Show in London, Vakantiebeurs in the Netherlands, CMT in Germany, FITUR in Spain, OTM in India and MATKA in Finland in this month. These events have provided a platform to highlight Nepal’s diverse offerings, from adventure travel and cultural heritage to sustainable tourism, it said in a statement. Likewise, seven companies participated in Adventure Travel Show and Vakantiebeurs each and six in CMT. NTB said that another 27 companies will showcased Nepal’s rich cultural and spiritual experiences in OTM, India.

“Each fair witnessed enthusiastic participation from Nepal’s tourism enterprises, presenting their services to international stakeholders. The collaboration between NTB and the private sector has
played a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with global tourists and travel companies, paving the way for mutual growth,” the NTB said in the statement. “Visitors to Nepal’s stalls showed great interest, engaging with representatives and learning about the country’s unique attractions.”

Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of NTB, said they were trying to establish Nepal as a must-visit destination and working closely with tourism providers to position Nepal uniquely on the global stage. “Nepal is not just a destination; it’s an experience that touches the soul. Our collaboration with tourism service providers strengthens our campaign to position Nepal as a unique destination,” he added.
