NSP to sack leaders who signed agreement to unify with Maoist Center

KATHMANDU: Nepal Samajbadi Party (NSP) has decided to sack leaders who agreed to unify the party with the CPN (Maoist Center).

A meeting of the party’s office-bearers decided to dismiss Chairperson Mahindra Raya Yadav, Co-chairperson Ganga Narayan Shrestha, and General Secretary Ramesh Yadav, according to an NSP leader.

The central committee meeting scheduled for Monday will formalize the decision.

Eighteen out of 29 office-bearers of the NSP participated in the meeting on Sunday chaired by NSP Chairperson Dr Baburam Bhattarai.

NSP Office Chief Roshan Pokharel said NSP’s journey toward alternative policies won’t be affected just because a few leaders are quitting the party.
