KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Norway to Nepal, Torun Dramdal, paid a courtesy call on Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Monday.
Various issues related to bilateral relations and development cooperation were discussed during the meeting, according to the Speaker’s secretariat.
On the occasion, Speaker Ghimire noted that high-level political visits have been exchanged between the two countries and there has been collaboration at the people’s level since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1973. The Speaker also praised the Norwegian government’s assistance in sectors like renewable energy, education, and good governance.
Similarly, Norwegian Ambassador Dramdal said that friendly relations between Nepal and Norway existed even before the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1973. She also informed that a parliamentary committee from Norway is scheduled to visit Nepal in September.
