KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation has raised the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter, and diesel and kerosene by Rs 5 per liter each.
Issuing a statement on Sunday evening, NOC said it revised the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene as per the new prices rates forwarded by its sole supplier Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). NOC has kept the prices of liquefied petroleum gas and aviation turbine fuel unchanged.
IOC forwards price rates to NOC every fortnight.
With the fresh adjustment in prices, petrol will cost Rs Rs 167, and diesel and kerosene Rs 157 per liter each in Kathmandu Valley and other major cities.
The new prices will come into effect from Sunday midnight, according to the NOC.
