KATHMANDU: The US Embassy in Kathmandu has announced the arrival of new books at the American Spaces in different parts of the country.
In a statement posted on the Embassy’s official Facebook page, the embassy said that new novels, test exam preparation books, and more have been added in the American Spaces.
With over 650 Spaces in 150 countries worldwide, American Spaces provides welcoming environments where visitors can connect and learn about the United States through programs and lectures, as well as through books, movies, and magazines. According to the embassy, the American Spaces, hosted in embassies, schools, libraries, and other partner institutions worldwide, are platforms for providing information and engagement through different activities.
Educational advising for those who want to study in the US, workshops on a range of topics from career skills to English language learning, classes, and clubs introducing new technologies, 21st-century digital skills, and academic resources are some of the activities organized at American Spaces.
The US Embassy has set up American Spaces at six locations in Nepal – three in the Kathmandu Valley and one each in Ilam, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi.
