
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index extended its losing run into its fourth straight session, going down 3.44 points to 2,620.39 points on Sunday.
This is the eighth loss on the bourse over the past 10 trading sessions. The benchmark index has shed 41.21 points over the past four sessions. Total daily turnover also fell to Rs 9.24 billion, with 21.9 million units of shares traded through 81,985 transactions.
Sanima Mai Hydropower topped the list of turnovers with Rs 604.86 million worth of shares traded. Next were Ngadi Group Power Ltd and Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd with turnovers of Rs 551.46 million and Rs 514.60 million.
Among trading groups, five posted nominal gains and eight ended the session in the red. Investment sub-index posted the highest loss of 1.3%, while Manufacturing & Processing recorded the biggest growth of 0.62%.
