KATHMANDU: A Nepali peacekeeper has been found dead in South Sudan.

According to the Department of Public Relations and Information of Nepal Army, Corporal Ram Bahadur Bantha of Sher Battalion (12th), deployed as a Surge Infantry Battalion in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, was found dead on Thursday. His body was discovered hanging in the motor vehicle workshop of the battalion at Rumbek, as reported by the directorate.

The directorate has stated that the body will be brought to Nepal after a post-mortem examination and other necessary investigations are conducted.
