KATHMANDU: A Nepali peacekeeper has been found dead in Lebanon.

According to the Nepal Army, Subash Thapa from Dolakha, a soldier of the Purano Gorakh Battalion deployed in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), died on Thursday after sustaining gunshot wounds from the weapon he was carrying

“Thapa passed away while undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Necessary arrangements are being made to repatriate the body to Nepal,” the army added in the statement.
