KATHMANDU: The Netherlands has entered the final of the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I series as the group leader.
The Netherlands secured their spot in the final after its final league round match against Namibia was called off due to wet pitch conditions on Sunday. Namibia was at 98/4 in 15 overs when rain interrupted play.
Namibia needed to win the match by a big margin to secure a place in the final. But the pre-monsoon rain in Kathmandu played spoilsport for the West African side.
The Netherlands finished at the top after the group stage with two wins, one loss and one no result. Nepal was in second place with two wins and as many losses, while Namibia ended third with one win, two losses, and one no result.
The final will be played at the TU International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
