KATHMANDU: Nepal will face the Netherlands in its second match of the Scotland tri-series of the ICC World Cricket League 2, in Dundee on Wednesday afternoon.

Nepal will be looking to build on its thrilling last-ball victory over Scotland on Monday. The Netherlands currently sits second in the WCL 2 table with 26 points from 20 matches, while Nepal is seventh in the eight-team standings with 8 points from 13 matches.

The two teams have faced each other five times in ODIs, with Nepal winning two of those encounters.

Nepal played its first-ever ODIs against the Netherlands in 2018, losing the first match but bouncing back to win the second.

They met again in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in 2023, where the Netherlands secured a convincing seven-wicket win.

Most recently, during the Nepal tri-series of the WCL 2 held in February 2024, Nepal defeated the Netherlands by nine wickets on February 17 but suffered an eight-wicket loss in the return fixture on February 24.
