Nepal promoted in Thailand

KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok organized a tourism promotion event titled “Experience Nepal: Lumbini to Himalayan Bliss” in Bangkok on Thursday.

Issuing a statement, NTB said the event was organized in collaboration with Nepal Airlines and various travel trade associations to showcase Nepal’s diverse attractions to the Thai market.

The event brought together 75 companies from Nepal and Thailand, including travel agencies, airlines, and tourism stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, encouraged Thai companies to explore business opportunities in Nepal’s tourism sector, highlighting the country’s unique offerings from Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, to the Himalayas.

Likewise, Vitidnan Rojanapanich, the first Thai Everest summiteer and president of the Thai Nepal Friendship Association, shared his experiences of Nepal.

On the occasion, Nabin Pokharel, a senior manager of NTB, made a presentation on Nepal’s tourist attractions and cultural performances. Likewise, four round-trip air tickets, hotel packages, and rafting packages were offered to the participants through a lucky draw to encourage people from Thailand to visit Nepal.
