NC’s 15th General Convention from Sunday

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has formally postponed its 15th General Convention by two days.

Acting Chief Secretary of the NC’s Central Party Office, Krishna Prasad Dulal, said in a statement on Tuesday that the convention was postponed by two days as the process of electing convention delegates is pending in some electoral constituencies.

“The local-level convention and the process to elect delegates in the House of Representatives and provincial assembly constituency committees are still underway due to heavy rainfall and floods in recent days,” Dulal said in a statement.

According to the statement, the general convention will kick off at Khullamanch of Kathmandu at 2 pm on Sunday.

The party has already held conventions of its ward and municipal units, while conventions of House of Representatives and provincial assembly constituency committees are underway.
