NCP appoints in-charge of nine provincial committees

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has finalized in-charges for seven geographical provincial committees and two non-geographical committees.

A meeting of the party’s Central Coordination Committee appointed Rajendra Rai as in-charge of Koshi Province, while Mahindra Rai Yadav will lead Madhes Province. Similarly, Dr. Gangalaal Tuladhar has been named in-charge of Bagmati Province, Shrinath Baral as in-charge of Gandaki, Chakrapani Khanal as in-charge of Lumbini, Chandra Bahadur Shahi as in-charge of Karnali, and Dr Bhim Rawal as in-charge of Sudurpashchim.

Similarly, Hitman Shakya has been appointed as the in-charge of the Valley Special Province and Yashoda Subedi as the in-charge of the Liaison Coordination Province.

Meanwhile, NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has proposed holding the party’s general convention in Mangsir (mid-November to mid-December).

The meeting also formed an 11-member task force to work on constitutional amendments.
