KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed concern over the unauthorized use of the party president’s nameplate and the party’s letterhead.
A meeting of the NC’s Central Disciplinary Committee held on Friday expressed objection to activities of the party’s dissident faction and raised concerns over the unauthorized use of the party president’s nameplate and the party’s letterhead.
Central Disciplinary Committee Coordinator Taramam Gurung said after the meeting that the president’s nameplate displayed at the office of the dissident faction and the party’s letterhead had been used without authorization.
He said the Disciplinary Committee was also collecting records regarding the use of false allegations and inappropriate language that could tarnish the reputation of party leaders and cadres.
Gurung said the committee was investigating 754 complaints it had received so far regarding undisciplined activities during the election. He said appropriate decisions would be made before ward-level conventions begin, as the party’s general convention process has already started.
