KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah reshuffled his cabinet on Monday, inducting three new ministers and two state ministers.
Province Chief Nazir Miyan appointed Bel Bahadur Rana Magar as Minister for Social Development, Bikram Singh Dhami as Minister for Economic Affairs, and Man Bahadur Rawal as Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment on the recommendation of Chief Minister Shah.
Miyan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers on Monday.
Likewise, Madhu Bharati has been appointed as Minister of State for Social Development and Juna Dani as Minister of State for Economic Affairs. Chief Minister Shah administered the oath of office to the two state ministers.
These five replace Bal Bahadur Singh Thapa, Megh Raj Khadka, Shiva Raj Bhatta, Prakash Bam and Saraswati Khadka from Shah’s cabinet.
Chief Minister Shah, who is from NC, is leading a coalition government of NC and CPN-UML.
All three ministers and two state ministers are from the NC. Although there were demands within UML to change its ministers as well, UML leadership is yet to make any decision in this direction.
