Mom, son dead in Okhaldhunga wildfire

KATHMANDU: Two persons lost their lives in a wildfire in Okhaldhunga district on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Okhaldhunga, 15-year-old Kanchan Dhamala died while attempting to save his 55-year-old mother Punya Maya, who was caught in the fire near Haribole Basaha Community Forest in Beteni of Siddhicharan-10 on Monday afternoon. The mother also died in the incident.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, police say.
