KATARI: A body was discovered in a culvert on Madan Bhandari Highway in Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7 of Udayapur district on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Nagendra Bahadur Ghale (43) of the same ward.
DSP Rajan Chapagain of the District Police Office, Udayapur, said they have sent a sniffer dog to the incident site to investigate the case.
According to police, Ghale had left a local eatery on Monday evening after consuming alcohol with his friends.
Hom Basnet, a local resident, said workers cleaning the highway drainage discovered the body.
