BUTWAL: Landless squatters staged a protest in Butwal on Sunday.
The Rupandehi Chapter of the Nepal Landless Squatters and Unmanaged Settlers Struggle Committee organized the protest. According to the organizers, the protest was organized to put pressure on government agencies to stop using bulldozers to evict unmanaged settlers without providing alternative arrangements.
The demonstration began at Rajmarg Chauraha in Butwal, passed through Milan Chowk and Hospital Line, and concluded with a gathering at Traffic Chowk.
