Karnali Chief Minister Sharma passes floor test

SURKHET: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Raj Kumar Sharma, has received a vote of confidence for the second time.

In the voting held at the Karnali Province Assembly on Friday, Sharma secured 38 out of 39 votes cast. According to the province assembly secretariat, only one vote was cast against him.

Sharma received 14 votes from Nepali Congress, 13 from CPN (Maoist Center), nine from CPN-UML, one from CPN (Unified Socialist). An independent member also voted for him.

This marks the second time that Sharma has received a vote of confidence in the province assembly. He had previously passed the floor test on January 20, securing 25 votes.
