Janamat Party wins both provincial seats in Saptari-2

JANAKPURDHAM: CK Raut-led Janamat Party has won both Madhesh Province Assembly seats in the Sapatari-2 constituency.

Satish Singh has been elected to the province assembly from Saptari-2 (A) seat, defeating Shailendra Prasad Sah of Janata Samajbadi Party.

Sah is the incumbent Minister of Finance of the Madhesh Province Government.

While Singh received 16,734 votes, Sah got 8,292 votes.

Likewise, Mahesh Prasad Yadav of Janamat Party has been elected to the province assembly from Saptari-2 (B) seat, receiving 13,325 votes.

His closest contender Umesh Kumar Yadav of CPN (Maoist Center) got 7,023 votes.
