KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is visiting Nepal on November 4-5 for bilateral talks at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Amrit Bahadur Rai.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two foreign secretaries will hold bilateral discussions and review the full range of Nepal-India relations. They will also exchange views on matters of mutual interest with the aim of further strengthening the longstanding ties between the two countries, the ministry said.
Misri is also scheduled to pay courtesy calls on senior Nepali dignitaries during his stay.
He will return to New Delhi on November 5.
Misri is expected to extend the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Prime Minister Balendra Shah for an official visit to the southern neighbour.
The ministry’s statement, however, says nothing about this.
