KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, organized the 1st India-Nepal Tourism Meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
According to the NTB, the event aimed to strengthen tourism ties, promote cultural exchange and explore collaboration opportunities between the two neighboring countries.
A 13-member delegation from Uttar Pradesh state of India, including eight tour operators, three influencers, and two officials, participated in the event. Prior to the event, the delegation toured Kathmandu, Janakpur, and Chandragiri as part of a familiarization trip organized by NTB.
The highlight of the event was B2B meetings, where around 120 Nepali tour operators specializing in the Indian market engaged with Indian counterparts to boost tourism.
