LUMBINI: Binod Pariyar, the Lumbini Province Correspondent for Himal Press, has been honored with the ‘Best Journalist Award.’
The Rupandehi chapter of the National Dalit Journalists Association presented the award, established in collaboration with Bise Nagarchi: A Symbol of Unity, to Pariyar during its third general convention held in Butwal on Monday.
According to the chapter, Pariyar was recognized for his journalism advocating against caste-based discrimination and promoting social justice. Butwal Mayor Khelraj Pandey, chapter President Tanka Sunar, and Ram Kumar Ranapal presented the awards.
Similarly, Fulu Sunar was awarded the Creative Journalism Award.
