ITAHARI: The Biratnagar High Court has issued an order to remove the padlock from the chamber of the Vice Chancellor of Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).
A single bench of High Court Judge Shreedhara Kumari Pudasaini issued the order on Thursday, hearing a writ petition filed by Sanjiv Kumar Sah. Following the court’s order, the padlock was removed on Friday.
Mayor of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, Harka Sampang, had padlocked the chamber of Vice Chancellor Pralhad Karki on January 15, alleging that he had opted for leave instead of resolving the stalemate at the medical school.
