KATHMANDU: Devendra Karki and Mahendra Bahadur Gurung have been appointed as board directors of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The two were appointed for a four-year term as per the minister-level decision taken on Friday, according to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation. “Karki was nominated as an expert and Gurung as a representative of consumers as per Section 9 (3) of the NEA Act,” an official of the energy ministry said.
Karki is a former energy secretary, while Gurung is a former director general of the Department of Electricity Development.
