KATHMANDU: The government has recalled ambassadors to six countries who were appointed by the KP Sharma Oli-led government.
The recalled ambassadors include Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma (India), Chitra Lekha Yadav (Australia), Sumnima Tuladhar (Denmark), Purna Bahadur Nepali (Sri Lanka), Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe (South Korea), and Kapil Man Shrestha (South Africa).
According to the ministry, i asked the six ambassadors to return based on a recent cabinet decision.
The ambassadors have been told to return within a month.
The Oli government had appointed 17 ambassadors under the political quota.
Eleven of them were earlier recalled by the interim election government led by Sushila Karki.
