KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed all government bodies and local units to make electronic attendance systems mandatory for employees.
According to a circular issued by the ministry’s Administrative Reform and Management Audit Section, all ministries, departments, offices, and local levels must now maintain daily employee attendance records, including check-in and check-out times, through an electronic system.
Offices that have not yet implemented an electronic attendance system have been told to deploy such a system immediately.
Similarly, the ministry has told all government offices to print attendance records every 15 days, verify them, and store them securely at the respective offices.
