Govt focused on good governance in first 100 days: Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said that the government’s main focus over its first 100 days was on ensuring good governance.

Speaking to journalists after a party program on Friday, Lamichhane said good governance is a priority for the government. “Efforts to make government service digital have begun in offices which draw a large crowd of service seekers. The government is trying to enable home delivery and make the process less cumbersome,” he said.

Lamichhane also said there might be procedural shortcomings in certain initiatives. “However, what matters most is whether the government realizes those shortcomings and makes corrections. If there are weaknesses, we will work to ensure that they are not repeated in the future,” he added.

Lamichhane insisted that the government’s first 100 days have been successful in terms of engaging with people and initiating good governance.

The Balendra Shah-led government, which was formed on March 27, is completing its 100 days on Saturday.
