Govt continuing efforts for Bipin Joshi’s release: Saud

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud has stated that the government is continuing diplomatic efforts for the release of Bipin Joshi from Kanchanpur who is currently being held hostage by Hamas.

Speaking at a press meet in Dadeldhura on Friday, Joshi said that the government has consistently appealed to the Israeli authorities for Bipin Joshi’s release. “We have repeatedly requested the Israeli government, and I have also sought the assistance of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar,” Joshi said, expressing optimism that Joshi would be released during the next ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

“Women and children were released during the first ceasefire. I am hopeful that Bipin will be released in the next ceasefire,” he added.

Saud also clarified that Nepal has not given consent for the recruitment of Nepali youths in the Russian Army.
