KATHMANDU: Yadav Ghimire has been elected as the President of the Tissue Industry Association of Nepal.
The third annual general meeting of the association also elected Ram Hari Karki as Vice President, Bishnu Prasad Bakhrel as Secretary and Shyam Hari Luintel as Treasurer. Likewise, Prem Hari Mainali, Niranjan Ghimire, Rajesh Shrestha, Anil Pradhan and Sunila Goyal Agrawal have been elected as Executive Committee members.
The newly elected President, Ghimire, has pledged to take needful initiatives to remove the excise duty imposed by the government on raw materials for tissue paper. He also expressed commitment to expanding the association’s membership and building a disciplined and well-organized institution.
The chief guest of the event, Dharmendra Jha, said tissue producers should explore international markets for their products.
