KATHMANDU: The Chitwan National Park (CNP) Office has arrested four wildlife poachers who had been on the run for a long time.
The CNP Office arrested Ganesh Kumal, Chakka Jetha, Sonam Singh Waiba, and Mukta Lal Pun Magar on different dates.
According to the national park office, while Kumal, who is accused of killing a rhino and chopping off its horn at Bhusarghat on November 5, was arrested on January 6. Waiba was arrested on Tuesday. He had been on the run after killing a rhino in the Simalgairi area in 2006.
Similarly, Jetha and Pun Magar were also arrested on Tuesday. They had gone into hiding after killing a rhino in the Nandantal area 20 years ago.
