SURKHET: Four members of a family were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Mandu of Chhayanath Rara Municipality-6 in Mugu district.
Mayor of Chhayanath Rara Municipality, Bishnu Kumar Bham, said Shreedevi Bohora (28), her sons Manoj (11) and Rahar (1), and daughter Apsara (8) were found dead in their home. Since blood has been seen in their home, police suspect all four might have been murdered.
A team led by DSP Birendra Thapa has reached the incident site with sniffer dogs for investigation, according to DIG Bhim Prasad Dhakal, the chief of Karnali Provincial Police Office in Surkhet.
According to Bham, Sridevi’s husband is in Dubai for foreign employment. “The four had gone to Sridevi’s maternal home for Dashain celebration and returned home the same evening. The incident might have happened the same night,” he said. “After finding the house locked from inside, the neighbors broke open and found all four dead.”
Police have taken all four bodies to Mugu District Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
