KATHMANDU: Four people were killed and four others injured when an electric passenger van plunged about 1,000 metres off the road in Makwanpur district on Tuesday.
According to Khanikhet Police Office, the accident occurred at around 2 p.m. at Sukoura in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-2 along the Hetauda-Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Phakhel Road.
The van was travelling from Kathmandu towards Birgunj when it veered off the road. The vehicle was carrying eight people, including the driver, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Nara Bahadur Singh (24) of Nawalparasi East, Suraj Bhattarai of (43) of Dhanusha, Bhuvaneshwar Sah Kanu (44) of Parsa and Sarfarosh Miyan (32) of Bara.
