
KATHMANDU: A total of 176,871 foreign tourists entered Nepal via air routes in the first two months of 2025.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, this number represents a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024. In the first two months of 2024, 176,526 foreign tourists had visited Nepal.
A total of 96,880 foreign tourists visited Nepal in February – a slight decrease of 0.56% compared to February 2024. In February 2024, Nepal welcomed 97,226 foreign tourists. India topped the list with 19,187 visitors in February. The United States ranked second with 10,348 visitors, while 8,232 came from China, 5,609 from Thailand, and 5,057 from the United Kingdom. The number of tourists from Bangladesh (4,847), Sri Lanka (4,370), Australia (3,737), Myanmar (3,149), and South Korea (2,779) was also significant during the review period.
Nepal welcomed 79,991 foreign tourists in January. While 20,485 tourists came from India, China and the US contributed 8,191 and 8,063 visitors, respectively, in January.
A total of 1.14 million international tourists visited Nepal in 2024.
